I Live Here, I Give Here’s mission is to deepen and expand the culture of personal philanthropy by inspiring Central Texans to invest more money in our community. We educate and connect individuals and non-profits so more Central Texans experience the personal benefit of increased philanthropy.

Austin is a vibrant city with a personality all its own. The people are passionate, driven, and generous volunteers of their time and talent. But that’s not enough. The biggest problem facing Austin Nonprofits is there is not enough money.

For a city so involved in protecting its natural habitats and native small businesses, the nonprofit needs of Austin should be equally met. But the severe shortage of funds for Nonprofits hurts the community every day.

This is where I Live Here, I Give Here steps in. Our main purpose is to connect people like YOU with the issues you care about and the Nonprofits that support them.

I Live Here, I Give Here is proud of the work we have accomplished since our launch in 2007. We connect the people of Austin with the causes they care about.

Inviting Nominations for The 2013 BIG Giver!

We are calling on our I Live Here, I Give Here® partner agencies to nominate an exemplary donor for recognition as The BIG Giver for the 2013 BIG Give! celebration.

The BIG Give! is Austin’s celebration of giving and receiving well. This is I Live Here I Give Here’s annual party with a purpose! At the BIG Give!, we recognize one BIG Giver, an individual philanthropist making a huge personal impact, and award a BIG Prize and a Little Prize to TWO nonprofits who embody “receiving well” through excellence in donor stewardship.

The 2013 BIG Give! event will take place on Friday, September 27th at the Hyatt Regency Austin. In addition to recognizing the Big Giver, little and BIG prize recipients, 400 guests will enjoy fantastic live music, a stellar silent auction, savory fare and much more!

2013 Big Giver! We are looking to honor this year’s inspiring philanthropist. In order to be eligible, this donor:

  • May be someone who gives his or her time and talent, but MUST also give financially.
  • This person MUST give meaningful personal contributions and be someone who I Live Here, I Give Here’s target audience (25-45) can relate to and be inspired by.
  • MUST be able to speak on behalf of the organization that he/she supports.
  • MUST be able to speak about the personal benefit he/she receives from their philanthropy.
