Over $2 billion is spent annually by local governments to shelter and ultimately destroy 8-10 million adoptable dogs and cats, due of shortage of homes.


Approximately 55% of dogs and puppies and 71% of cats and kittens entering shelters are killed based on reports from 1,038 facilities across America.


An estimated 1,000,000 homeless dogs and cats will end up in Texas Animal shelters this year. Sadly, most of them will be destroyed. Dogs and cats are being given the death penalty for a crime they did not commit - being born.


One pair of breeding cats, with all their offspring, will generate 420,000 kittens in just six years. Two breeding dogs with their offspring will produce 67,000 puppies in seven years!


Spaying or neutering your pets prevents many diseases, increases life expectancy, cuts down on some bothersome behaviors, and helps the severe problem of pet overpopulation.


In the city of Austin alone, almost 1,000 dogs and cats are euthanized each month!
