Why We’re Here

I Live Here, I Give Here’s mission is to deepen and expand the culture of personal philanthropy by inspiring Central Texans to invest more money in our community. We educate and connect individuals and non-profits so more Central Texans experience the personal benefit of increased philanthropy.

Did you know Austin is ranked 48th out of the 50 largest cities in the nation in per capita charitable giving?

Austin is a vibrant city with a personality all its own. The people are passionate, driven, and generous volunteers of their time and talent. But that’s not enough. The biggest problem facing Austin Nonprofits is there is not enough money.

For a city so involved in protecting its natural habitats and native small businesses, the nonprofit needs of Austin should be equally met. But the severe shortage of funds for Nonprofits hurts the community every day.

This is where I Live Here, I Give Here steps in. Our main purpose is to connect people like YOU with the issues you care about and the Nonprofits that support them.

I Live Here, I Give Here is proud of the work we have accomplished since our launch in 2007. We connect the people of Austin with the causes they care about.

We partner with nonprofit groups so they can be more accessible to you. We spotlight specific needs in Austin every month to let you know how you can help.

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure -- it’s the most fun you have ever had and teamwork as you have never seen it. Compete against other local companies in an over the top high tech urban adventure! Go for good and enroll in an unforgettable community team building experience. What to expect: Your team will start out the game in Downtown Austin at Republic Square Park, and will then be sent out on a number of missions within the Warehouse District. Some missions are called "judgeable missions," which involve essential creativity and collaboration skills on behalf of your team. On these missions, teams could be solving a problem, or perhaps snapping a stellar photo or creating a quick, fun video. All teams will meet back at the local pub (place tbd) where you will get a chance to judge each other's missions on creativity, flavor and brilliance for prizes. You will compete against other teams of local corporations/businesses on your judgeable missions in order to determine the winner of the GoGame! Game Hours: 1:00-5:00pm More Information:
The GoGame — Austin Child Guidance Center
1:00pm @  Republic Square Park
The GoGame is a concept that veers from traditional team-building methods. This game is where the Amazing Race meets Cranium infused with Mission Impossible all rolled up into one big giant burrito. Smartphone technology is used for each team’s game piece where they will inherit clues, missions, puzzles and record as well as snap fotos of missions. The city’s urban background serves as the 'game board' and in this case the designated area of play is the Warehouse District. All fees are discounted, tax-deductible and will be donated to ACGC to assist in funding the sliding-fee scale that allows for affordable, quality mental health care to uninsured and under-insured families. Forget the 'Trust Fall' and get into the game. More Information:
