Partner OrganizationsThe Hill Country Conservancy is a nonprofit land trust committed to preserving not only the natural beauty and open spaces of the Texas Hill Country but its economy as well. This includes conservation of flowers, trees, and the protection of wildlife. Austin Discovery School is a creative learning environment open to all students and their families, providing an individualized, hands-on curriculum that develops confident, environmentally aware, critical thinkers. Austin Parks Foundation is committed to creating and sustaining beautiful and active parks throughout Austin. We seek to fill the gap between what needs to be done and what our parks department can afford to do. The CLEAN AIR Force of Central Texas is the leading nonprofit organization dedicated to safeguarding and improving air quality in Central Texas. Founded in 1993, the CLEAN AIR Force Board consists of 39 members united in the common goal of finding workable solutions for improving our region's air quality. www.cleanairforce.org
The Colorado River Foundation supports natural science education and outdoor recreation programs that encourage the stewardship, awareness, and protection of the Colorado River, particularly to at-risk youth. The foundation also partners with other organizations to organize clean-ups of the lakes that make up the Colorado River. www.coloradoriver.org
The mission of Earth Share of Texas is to support our participating environmental and conservation organizations and their program work by representing them in payroll contribution programs at public and private worksites throughout Texas. www.earthshare-texas.org
Ecology Action of Texas is on a mission to educate and empower people to create a more livable world by reducing waste, reusing materials and recycling whenever possible. Our programs include four drop-off recycling centers, landfill diversion programs, telephone referrals, educational tours, speakers and programs, event recycling, apartment, business and office recycling set-up. www.ecology-action.org

The Green Corn Project (GCP) is a nonprofit organization, founded in 1998, that educates and assists Central Texans in growing organic food gardens. GCP serves people with limited access to nutritious, affordable food by partnering with them to build their own gardens at homes, schools, and community centers. www.greencornproject.org

The Austin American-Statesman's Lady Bird's Legacy Campaign, created in 2008, buys wildflower seeds to plant along highways and in communities throughout Central Texas. Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation (WRR) provides rescue, rehabilitation, and release of orphaned, injured, and displaced wildlife, and provides sanctuary with dignity for wild animals. WRR provides advice and assistance in dealing with human-wildlife encounters in a non-lethal manner. | Texans spend over $1 billion annually for solid waste disposal services for over 22 million tons of garbage. In addition, too few products are designed for recycling. Requiring manufacturers to take back their products at the end of their useful lives will provide a bottom line incentive to reduce toxins and design products for recycling. | Surface water from the Colorado River is by far the largest source of water supply for Travis County residents.
